Namak, which translates as ‘salt’ in Hindi, promises to provide an exquisite Indian dining experience peppered with global influences in the heart of Abu Dhabi. The restaurant is officially reopening from September 1 and is the brainchild of celebrity Chef Kunal Kapur.
The restaurant with its bold colour scheme, ornately carved wooden doors and brass kitchen utensils makes a worthy attempt at replicating the vibrancy of India in terms of both personality and food, which comes to us from celebrity Chef Kunal Kapur. Many will likely recognise Chef Kapur from his appearance of Masterchef India and his judging role on the semi-final of Masterchef USA alongside Gordon Ramsey.
The global inspiration upon the Indian food served at Namak makes for an admirable tangent from the norm, defying expectations of what can be done achieved Indian cuisine. Namak by Kunal Kapur is open daily for à la carte lunch and dinner except for Fridays during the restaurant’s acclaimed Extraordinary Brunch and is located at Lobby Level in Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi.
