People of Riyadh, brace yourselves because one of the biggest musicals in the world is making its way to the Saudi capital. That’s right, The Phantom of the Opera is making its way to the Kingdom this winter marking its debut in the country.

Based on Gaston Leroux’s classic novel The Phantom of the Opera, the show will bring music, passion and mystery to the stage at The Arena Riyadh this winter. Set in 1930s Paris, The Phantom of the Opera follows the Phantom, lurking in the shadows of the Paris Opera House. There, he finds the enchanting soprano, Christine. He pulls Christine into his world, nurturing her talents. However, behind his musical brilliance hides a heart consumed by intense love and jealousy that Christine is unaware of. She’s also already in love with Raoul. What ensues is a whirlwind of overpowering emotions that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Phantom of the Opera has amassed over 70 major theatre awards. It has also graced the Broadway stage with over 13,900 performances, leaving an indelible mark on the world of musical theatre.

And audiences in Riyadh can expect nothing short of excellence either. With a cast and crew of 130 members, the drama and romance of the Phantom’s world come alive in Saudi Arabia this winter.
