Bla Bla Beach Club will open this week

The new social and dining destination is home to 20 bars, three restaurants and a beach club.

In December, we told you about Bla Bla Beach Club’s arrival at the far end of Jumeirah Beach Residence and the highly-anticipated venue will open this coming Thursday, 21 January.

Promising to embody Dubai’s go big or go home ethos and revolutionizing Dubai’s social scene. Opening in two phases this month, the 100,000 square foot venue’s first phase includes ten of the 20 bars, the beach club and three restaurants, with a further ten bars launching soon.

Set along the enormous venue’s terrace, phase one includes the opening of three gorgeously themed bars that overlook the Arabian Gulf, Ain Dubai and Bluewaters Island. The LightBox Bar specializes in juniper concoctions with over 20 items on the menu; Tag Bar mimics a New York street, complete with graffiti, street lamps and a slide that leads to the bathroom! Also on the terrace is the Lounge Bar, focusing on sharing cocktails.

Situated on the first floor inside the venue is the Record bar with old vinyl and an Irish Pub perfect for a pint and watching sport. While hidden in a back room are a further three bars! The Japanese Bar with a light-up floor, The Hollywood Bar with a celebrity feel and The Maximalist Bar (the opposite of minimalist) with out of the box drinks.

The Beach Bar will also open this week, with palm trees, sundowner beverages and a Bali-esque feel. Each of Bla Bla’s bars will have a unique cocktail as well as house beverages priced from AED 45.

Moving on to the Beach Club, guests can expect a space with immaculate Ibiza vibes that’s free of pretence and affordable to all. With live entertainment and a ladies’ day launching next week, this is a day-to-night venue you’ll want to add to the list.

Overseeing the culinary offering is executive chef Mohammad Islam, who developed his career in the kitchens of numerous prestigious restaurants including The Dining Room at The Ritz Carlton in Chicago, where he worked closely with Sarah Stegner. The restaurants at Bla Bla are Onda and Nami (which mean ‘wave’ in Italian and Japanese respectively) and a Texas-style BBQ Smokehouse, ensuring that all tastes are catered for.
