One for the art lovers and culture vultures…
Dubai’s art scene will enter a new dimension when Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) Dubai, a multi-sensory, multimedia immersive exhibition, opens its doors on Thursday, 13 October at Souk Madinat Jumeirah.
Having sparked a city-wide art renaissance in recent months through a series of curated virtual masterclasses with acclaimed UAE-based artists, the team behind ToDA is bringing its world-renowned multi-sensory, multimedia immersive exhibitions to Dubai’s art aficionados in person, in line with UAE federal health and safety protocols amid the ongoing fight against COVID-19.
European digital production house Vision Multimedia Projects will transform the setting at Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s leisure and entertainment space into its largest immersive digital art space yet!
ToDA is the first art initiative in the UAE to combine all three formats of digital art including multimedia exhibitions, contemporary immersive installations, and art in virtual reality. The result is an art, education, and entertainment hub covering an impressive 1,800 m2 that will display digital shows that combine high-end technologies with classical art, accompanied by stunning music, visual effects, and surround sound.
The inaugural exhibition will showcase nine celebrated artists and portrays the most important art movements of the late 19th and early 20th centuries led by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet and Wassily Kandinsky.
The exhibition makes its Dubai debut following a successful global tour, attracting over 1.5 million visitors in the likes of Germany, Russia, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
