John Torode, Daniel Boulud, and Kris Fade have confirmed their attendance.
With Taste of Dubai less than a month away, details about the line-up of participating talent are here. Organiser MENA Live Events has revealed that chef John Torode, chef Daniel Boulud, and radio host Kris Fade have confirmed their attendance. No stranger to the festival, Torode is a hugely popular and influential figure on the UK culinary circuit. Not only was he recently awarded an MBE for services to Food, Broadcast & Charity, but he is also credited as one of the main players in introducing Australasian food to the UK in the mid-1990s.
Hailing from France, Boulud is the chef-owner of several award-winning restaurants and the Feast & Fêtes catering company. He has also been considered one of America’s leading culinary authorities since his move out west in 1982. Boulud will appear at the Philips Cook School, supported by Head Chef of Dubai’s Brasserie Boulud, Nicolas Lemoyne. Simultaneously, Fade will bring his health food brand and well-documented passion for healthy eating to the Fade Fit chalet. You may even spot two of his Virgin Radio family members, Priti Malik and Big Rossi, while you’re around.
Other culinary heroes in attendance include Massimo Bottura (who will host a masterclass at 7pm on Friday, 3 February), Trèsind Studio’s Himanshu Saini, BAFTA-winning British television personality Big Zuu, celebrity chef Eric Lanlard, and the UAE’s BBQ master Hattem Mattar.
Taking place at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from 3 to 5 February, the culinary festival will yet again draw audiences with a range of live entertainment and 15 leading restaurants – 11 Woodfire, Akira Back, Bushra by Buddha-Bar and the FACT Award-winning LOWE and Torno Subito are just a few of the names set to participate this time around. Incidentally, the 2023 edition will cater to all palates as THRYVE, the region’s first plant-based meat venture, will also be in attendance.
Elsewhere, Costa Coffee will be partnering up with Emirates Holidays to give away a holiday package for two to the gastronomy capital of Lyon, so try your luck by caffeinating with one of the coffee-based mocktails created specially for the event. And if you’re planning to attend with the kids in tow, edutainment destination woo-hoo! will step in, keeping young minds engaged through a maze, science experiments and more while you fuel – and refuel – at pop-ups of the city’s best.
