The Irish Festival takes place on 18 March, and brings together Irish acts.

If the songs Superheroes and Hall of Fame get your toes tapping, then you’ll be excited to hear that The Script are coming to the UAE. The Irish band will be performing at McGettigan’s at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Saturday, 18 March, and here’s how you can join the fun.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style, and head to The Irish Festival. The Script are headlining the event, and fellow Irish band The Coronas are the support act. Plus, other musicians as well as DJs will be announced.

This year, The Script have been on their Greatest Hits Tour. The group bought their world tour to Bla Bla Dubai in October 2022, and previously performed in Dubai – albeit privately – at Atlantis The Palm in November 2021.

The Script hail from Dublin, Ireland, and released their debut album The Script in 2008. The group’s next three albums topped the charts in the UK and Ireland, and they’ve created hit singles including Breakeven and The Man Who Can’t be Moved. Over their career, they have won a World Music Award for Best Selling Irish Act, and been nominated for BRIT Awards and Teen Choice Awards.

The members consist of lead vocalist Danny O’Donoghue, guitarist Mark Sheehan and drummer Glen Power. Danny is best known for being the frontman and a judge for the talent show, The Voice UK.

If you want to catch The Script in Dubai, tickets will be available from 12 December. Early bird tickets start from AED 299, regular tickets are AED 349, and golden circle tickets are AED 499. Plus, Brunch and Festival packages are available and start from AED 699. Guests can have food and drinks at McGettigan’s in JLT, Madinat or City Walk, and catch a bus to Media City for The Irish Festival.
