The Grammy Award winner is performing at the Louvre Abu Dhabi
Music and art combine as the singing sensation John Legend has announced that he is performing at Abu Dhabi’s The Louvre. The special show is part of the Louvre Abu Dhabi Grand Festival on 12 November, which celebrates the museum’s fifth anniversary.
All of Me, Used to Love U and Ordinary People are just some of the hits that we are hoping he performs, as he brings his much-loved songs to the capital. The crowd pleaser is unique in being an EGOT winner, as he has won all the major entertainment awards – the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.
John has performed in the UAE many times before, as he played at the Emirates Jazz Fest in 2018, and a successful show in Coca-Cola Arena Dubai in 2020. This will be his first time performing at The Louvre.
Born in Ohio, United States, he was a whizz at school and skipped two grades. He was even offered a place at Harvard University, which he turned down. The singer swapped books for beats. He received critical acclaim for his debut album, Get Lifted, and went onto carve out a successful career spanning two decades.
Over the weekend, Arab acts will be joining the line-up including Iraqi-Saudi singer Majid Al-Muhandis, and Egytian composer Omar Khairat.
The stars just keep on coming to the UAE. Other concerts include The Script on 5 October, Travis on 17 October, and Jason Derulo on 28 October. Plus, Kylie Minogue has been announced as the headliner for Atlantis, The Palm’s New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, A Night with the Stars.
If you want to catch John Legend in Abu Dhabi, tickets are now on sale for the event. Louvre Abu Dhabi Grand Festival runs from 11 to 13 November. Tickets start from AED 295.
