A-listers have descended on Riyadh to celebrate the Lebanese designer Elie Saab. The 1001 Season of Elie Saab took place on 13 November at The Venue in Boulevard City and welcomed Celine Dion, Halle Berry, and Jennifer Lopez.
The 1001 Season of Elie Saab in Riyadh looked back at the designer’s clothes and creativity, and combined music, state-of-the-art technology and fashion. The title paid homage to the Arabic folk tale, 1001 Nights. Plus, the celebrities who would be attending the show had not been announced in advance.
Actress Halle Berry opened the event and wore the same gown she had worn the night she won her first Academy Award. On Instagram, Elie shared a video of the star with the caption: “A trip down memory lane as Halle Berry walks The 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab show stage in her iconic 2002 Oscars look.”
Celine Dion performed The Power of Love, and Jennifer Lopez performed I Will Survive. Guests also included Amr Diab, Camila Cabello, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Nancy Ajram.
The runway show, Riyadh Season Collection Fall 2025, featured 300 looks. Carine Roitfield, the former Editor of French Vogue, styled the show.
Elie hails from Beirut, Lebanon. When he was eight years old, he found a passion for sewing and would create clothes for his sisters. Dignitaries and royalty who have worn his clothes include Brigitte Macron, Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Rania of Jordan. Celebrities who have worn his clothes include Angelina Jolie, Aishwaryra Rai, and Sandra Bullock.
