A legendary pair of sneakers is on the way.
Whether it’s high-end or high street, the fashion industry has always understood the power of a good collaboration. A recent example, right here in Dubai, was the adidas X Ravi trainers, which saw the sports brand partner with the much-loved, local Pakistani restaurant.
So, if the words limited edition fill you with FOMO, fear not as another fashion collab is coming your way. Forget adidas x Gucci or Dior by Birkenstock because Nike is teaming up with Tiffany & Co.
It all started with a post on the official Instagram accounts for both brands, showing a Nike shoebox in the signature Tiffany blue with a white swoosh on top. The caption to the Instagram post was enough to send the internet into a frenzy:
“A legendary pair. Coming soon…”
Next came a carousel of images to further tease the collab. A shoe horn with the caption “more of a subtle flex”, a pair of Tiffany blue laces with text that reads “laced to perfection”, and a cleaning brush with the words “don’t forget the tongue.” The playful post hinted at so much, but the real find was a link to the Tiffany’s website, giving avid sneakerheads a first look at what could be the most in-demand shoe of 2023.
The two images show a black Air Force 1 trainer emblazoned with a Tiffany blue swoosh and a Tiffany & Co. silver plate on the heel. In addition, the silverware teased in the carousel post which includes a Tiffany & Co. whistle on a ball chain, a co-branded shoe cleaning brush, and a swanky silver shoehorn are being sold as collector’s items. Prices for the accessories range from $250 USD to $475 USD.
Although the price and release date for the collaboration have not yet been confirmed, the Tiffany’s website currently offers the option to sign up for either text or email updates.
However, it is believed that the trainers will drop on Tuesday, 7 March and via Nike’s SNKRS app, Tiffany & Co. and select Nike retailers worldwide. Priced at $400 USD, the shoe will feature a complete size range from a US 3.5M to a US 18M.
The collaboration marks the first time Tiffany and Co have joined the footwear game, so stay tuned to FACT for more news on the imminent drop.
