The American and French brands unite.
Jacquemus and Timberland have come together for their first fashion collaboration. The French fashion designer, famous for its high-end bags, is teaming up with the American footwear company, which is known for its functional boots. The details are currently under wraps, but here’s what we know.
On Instagram, Jacquemus shared a story showcasing a co-branded box with Timberland’s tree logo and Jacquemus’ boxed lettering. The story got people guessing, as the content inside the box was not revealed. Given the aesthetic of both brands, we are imagining a collection of bags and shoes.
Jacquemus and Timberland are no strangers to fashion collaborations with other brands. Jacquemus has previously worked with the streetwear giants, Nike. Aimed at men and women, it included trainers as well as a swoosh-shaped bag. Timberland has previously worked with luxury fashion houses including Jimmy Choo and Louis Vuitton, and also the streetwear brand, Vans.

Jacquemus was founded by the fashion designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus. Created in 2009, the name derives from his mother’s maiden name. At the heart of the collections are sleek, stylish bags. Plus, the brand also offers men’s and women’s wear.
In 1978, The Timberland Company was founded. The brown boot has made its way from the everyman to A-lister. Drawing inspiration from New England in the United States, it reflects shoes worn by blue-collar workers. Over the years, the boots have been adopted by American rappers. Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac Shakur, Mobb Deep and the Wu-Tang Clan have all been seen wearing the shoes.
