Leonardo DiCaprio’s Diamond Foundry collaborates with Dubai’s Etika Jewels

The partnership offers carbon-neutral diamonds in the UAE for the first time.

Some Hollywood sparkle has been added to Dubai’s jewellery market. Etika Jewels, a Dubai-based sustainable jewellery brand, has collaborated with Diamond Foundry, a California-based company backed by Leonardo DiCaprio. Thanks to the partnership, Etika Jewels is now the first and only brand to offer carbon-free diamonds in the UAE. 

Leonardo DiCaprio said: “I’m proud to invest in Diamond Foundry Inc., sustainably growing diamonds in America without human and environmental toll of mining.” Leonardo is best known as an A-list actor who has starred in films including The Revenant, Titanic and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Plus, he starred in Blood Diamond, which is based on the civil war in Sierra Leone and follows a man who finds a priceless diamond.

Besides being an actor, Leonardo is a passionate environmental activist. Through the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, he has worked on a range of initiatives, which include Dubai’s vegan fast-food chain Neat Burger with Lewis Hamilton. 

Diamond Foundry has been worn by A-list celebrities including Emma Watson, Gal Gadot, Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon. Plus, Drake even collaborated with the brand to create a diamond encrusted jacket, which was designed by Harrison Bespoke. 

Etika Jewels was founded by Basma Chaieri, and creates lab-grown diamonds. Etika Jewel’s latest collection offers carbon-neutral diamonds, from 0.8 carats and above. The diamonds are ethically and sustainably produced in the United States of America. Plus, each diamond comes with a certificate from Diamond Foundry referencing its characteristics.
