MAC Cosmetics has announced a beautiful collaboration with Saudi Arabian women. The campaign launched on International Women’s Day, and aims to celebrate women’s individuality.

The brand has partnered with model and blogger Abeer Sinder, model Ghalia Amin, gamer Meshael MR, and influencer Nirvana Abdul. The campaign was shot in Al Balad, Jeddah, and follows the women as they get ready for a night out. We watch as the women touch up their make-up in front of the car mirror and bathroom mirror.

On Instagram, the beauty brand stated: “MAC has been a longstanding leader in celebrating individuality and self-expression. This International Women’s Day the brand partners with four individual and inspiring women to create a campaign that champions #MeAsIAm, following them on their journey to just be, switching off the noise, pressure, and expectations around them.

“Through the MAC VIVA GLAM philanthropy initiative, one of the key pillars focuses on empowering young women and girls by providing organisations globally with funds to support different programs.”

Abeer Sinder explained: “There is no better way to celebrate International Women’s Day, than this powerful campaign I shot with MAC. Its goal is to express yourself, show your uniqueness and differences as you are”.

Nirvana Abdul added: “The powerful campaign champions self-expression, individuality and being your authentic self in a world that squeezes you into moulds with expectations. Never forget who you are, your values and what you stand for.”

MAC started back in 1998 in Toronto, Canada. The brand was originally marketed towards make-up artists, but found a commercial fan base. Today, it is one of the world’s most recognisable make-up brands, and has more than 500 stories across the world.
