The Giving Movement is coming to Mall of the Emirates
The popular homegrown brand is opening its first store.
We love homegrown brands at FACT. So, we are excited to hear that the UAE’s The Giving Movement is opening its first physical store, which will be located in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates. The store is set to open before the end of the year, and will be home to the brand’s cool clothing.
The Giving Movement is famous for its sustainable athleisure wear, which covers everything from sweatpants to sweatshirts. The company puts its intentions on its sleeves, as many of the garments are emblazoned with the brand’s name in a bold, stylish print. Plus, there is a trendy selection of modest wear, which includes abayas and hijabs.
When the store opens inside Mall of the Emirates, we expect it to house the men’s and women’s collections. The store will also showcase the company’s first ready-to-wear collection, Fifty Made, and its first footwear line. The footwear is bio-based, which means that it comes from renewable materials, so you’ll look good while doing good.
Dominic Nowell-Barnes is behind The Giving Movement. After moving to the UAE in 2017, he was motivated to use fashion as a vehicle of positive change and launched the e-commerce brand in 2020. The company aims to alter the way fashion is consumed while shedding light on conscious consumerism.
If you’re a shopaholic, you don’t have to feel guilty when buying items from The Giving Movement. With every item you purchase, AED 15 is donated to the charities Dubai Cares and Harmony House. To date, the company have donated more than $2.4 million.
In other news, the homegrown streetwear label recently joined forces with YOOX for an exclusive capsule collection celebrating freedom and self-love, as well as introducing the Middle East’s first sugarcane-based slides with the FIFTYMADE limited edition drop.
This is a movement we can certainly get behind.
