The Paddock Café provides hotel guests and day-visitors with a serene dining experience set amongst the panoramic views of the Al Wadi Nature Reserve while the appetising menu features light snacks and beverages. An equestrian escape 

With horses and camels having long been a part of Middle Eastern culture, from camel caravans through the desert to elegant Arabian horses, now is the perfect time to embark on an equestrian adventure at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert. Families can take the equine experience one-step further with the ‘Horse Riding Lesson & Stay’. 

The package includes a stay at a luxurious tented villa for two adults and two children with a private pool and daily private horse riding lessons, plus pony grooming sessions for the children. Price on request (a minimum of three nights are required).

For a traditional Bedouin experience, enjoy a 30-minute trail-style camel ride and learn about the desert fauna and flora. Alternatively, you can arrange a camel encounter for children and pose together for that perfect family photo. AED 190 (adults), AED 310 (couples) and AED 135 (children).

Moonlight rides

Taking place once a month, those wishing to escape the city can retreat into nature with a moonlight camel ride through the desert. This romantic experience is followed by stargazing with a bottle of sparkling and chocolate-dipped strawberries. AED 535 per couple (30-minute experience).

Horse-riding lessons

With horse riding shown to improve posture, core strength and mental health, Al Wadi Equestrian Center offers private and group lessons for all abilities. The lessons are held year-round at the paddocks and the horse-walking arena. AED 1,400 per person (ten lessons for beginners), AED 1,880 per person (ten lessons for advanced riders), AED 1,050 per person (ten group lessons for two people) and AED 980 per person (ten group lessons for three to five people).

Enjoy desert adventures with resident horses Spot and Fluff and help children learn life skills and reconnect with nature. This interactive experience teaches young ones how to take care of a pony through grooming, washing and walking lessons. Once they have built their confidence, children are invited for an introductory ride in the horse-walking arena. AED 105 per child (30-minute experience).
