A new W Hotels property has opened its doors

‘Location, location, location’ is what determines where the W Hotels brand takes up residence worldwide, and its latest outpost in Dubai is no exception. Meet W Dubai – Mina Seyahi, a 31-storey hotel situated on the Jumeirah Beach coastline and boasting striking glass architecture with unobstructed views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s most iconic landmarks.

Dubai’s historical, cultural and social fabric is woven throughout the design of the hotel, with surprises awaiting at every turn. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the artfully designed porte-cochère that leads to a striking Welcome Desk featuring bold colours and textures inspired by the romanticism of a snake charmer – a nod to the Middle East’s mix of poets, storytellers, and performers. The W Lounge, the brand’s take on the hotel lobby, pays homage to famed Middle Eastern gold souks, with warm hues and gold accents creating a lively, modern-day bazaar. Here, guests can connect over imaginative cocktails and savoury bites infused with local flavours, both complemented by live music and nightly DJ sets.

The new property houses 318 rooms including 27 suites – all sea-facing with a private balcony – where guests can take in Dubai’s vibrant sunsets over the Arabian Gulf, Palm Jumeirah, and iconic landmarks such as Ain Dubai. Vibrantly hued interiors and custom furnishings featuring layers of highly textured fabrics with modern lustre honour the destination and its trade route heritage. Separate living, vanity and sleeping spaces, as well as the brand’s signature Mix Bar, are all welcome luxuries. Nothing, however, tops the Extreme WOW Suite – W’s twist on a Presidential Suite. Perched on the 30th floor and spanning 285 square metres, this contemporary space features two bedrooms, a lounge, a dining area, and a balcony with sweeping views of the city below.

Come dining and nightlife options, the newest W is gearing up to captivate travellers and residents who gather in search of local and globally inspired flavours or a tucked-away cocktail lounge. Located on the second floor, Ginger Moon is W Dubai – Mina Seyahi’s urban beach club experience. Airy and light, this seamless indoor-outdoor space opens to an expansive terrace leading to an infinity pool that highlights panoramic views from the bay of Mina Seyahi. WET Deck, the W brand’s take on poolside R&R, offers guests a fresh space to soak up the sun or enjoy eclectic DJ sets under the refreshing shade of a cabana. Elsewhere, sleek rooftop lounge ATTIKO will open in June, promising to be the definitive spot for sundowners and late-night gatherings. ATTIKO will serve imaginative cuisine featuring a curated selection of modern and classic Pan-Asian dishes and an extensive menu of international hops, grapes, and handcrafted cocktails.

We’re told that next year will bring with it two new additions to the property. Malakite beach club and pool will offer a two-in-one concept in over 8,000 square metres of space, set around a 50-metre-long pool and private beach. Sunseekers can expect surprise performances throughout the day and, as the sun sets, the action will move into the 1,200-square-metre indoor arena for a spectacle of talented artists. Fitness centre 1REBEL/FIT will mark the UAE debut of UK-born 1Rebel – the ultimate sports-luxe fitness experience – with a 2,500-square-metre studio in the hotel. And in the meantime? Self-care meets cocktail culture at BAR-B, a unique spa experience where socialising and pampering go hand in hand.
