The luxury hotel brings the beauty of the French Riviera to Dubai’s World Islands.
The glamour of Monaco is coming to the Middle East, as the first Heart of Europe hotel is set to open on Dubai’s World Islands. Côte d’Azur Monaco is welcoming guests from September, and it looks set to be one of the most exciting new hotels in Dubai.
The UAE knocks out megaproject after megaproject, but The World Islands might just be one of its most ambitious yet. The 300 artificial islands are shaped into the world’s continents, and six of the islands currently nearing completion make up The Heart of Europe.
Now you can visit Europe without setting foot on a plane, as you can take a 20-minute boat ride from Jumeirah Fishing Harbour and land in The Heart of Europe. The Kleindienst Group is one of the largest European real estate companies in Dubai, and they are behind the AED 18.3 billion project. Grand in scale and innovative in design, here’s what to expect from one of Dubai’s most-anticipated hotel openings.
Côte d’Azur Monaco’s rooms and restaurants
As the name suggests, the Heart of Europe is a celebration of European culture, architecture and hospitality. Côte d’Azur is inspired by the French Riviera and comprises four hotels: Monaco, Nice, Cannes and St. Tropez. Côte d’Azur Monaco is the first hotel to open its doors, bringing Mediterranean luxury to the resort.
Côte d’Azur hotel is a vibrant property, which will be instantly recognisable on the gram, thanks to its eye-catching exterior that is painted in a rainbow of colours spanning red, orange, yellow, green and blue. The whole property includes 893 rooms and suites, and each suite contains a balcony with sea views. Plus, there are eight restaurants inspired by the continent.
Throughout the year, there will be cultural festivals – seven, to be precise – which are inspired by Europe. The events include the island’s own take on world-famous festivals, from Cannes Film Festival to the Chelsea Flower Show. Plus, this is the place to come and party Monaco-style, as it will be home to a lavish beach club and host exclusive raves.
Côte d’Azur Monaco’s facilities
Guests staying at Côte d’Azur will have access to the property’s upscale facilities. If you’re someone who likes to stay active, there is a gym, squash and table tennis courts. The venue also makes the most of its unique location, as it offers pearl diving as well as sunset and sunrise yoga.
Not content with breaking ground with its manufactured island location, the hotel is home to the largest sustainable swimming pool in the Middle East. Relax on the 800-meter-long beach or in one of the four spas – one even includes a snow room, so you can massage and chill. Plus, you’ll want to pack an umbrella, as Raining Street is inspired by London weather and creates climate-controlled rain.
The Heart of Europe’s projects
There are impressive projects across The Heart of Europe, such as the heart-shaped Honeymoon Island and the Portofino Hotel resort. The latter is the first family-only luxury resort in the region, and it draws inspiration from Italy. There’s an Italian fresco of the Birth of Venus, Italian times on the clocks, and Italian food in the restaurant.
The Heart of Europe contains the kind of residences that make MTV Cribs look like an episode of Eastenders. The Floating Seahorse Villas state-of-the-art holiday homes include an underwater living quarter, coral reef views and a jacuzzi. Germany Villas are Bauhaus-style homes with exotic gardens and swimming pools.
Sweden Beach Palace is a magnificent mansion, which looks like something straight out of a James Bond film. Outside, there’s a man-made jungle. Inside, there are Bentley Homes furnishings. The building itself is inspired by a Viking boat, as it includes a giant golden dragon-shaped head – why not? In true UAE-style, it’s a one-of-a-kind property.
The Heart of Europe, we’re impressed.
