Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is going big with its latest brand ambassador. The Chief Island Officer has been unveiled and it’s the A list actor, Jason Momoa. He will be assuming the position from May, and will be responsible for promoting the island to the world.
Yas Island is a family-friendly hotspot, which offers world-class entertainment. In Jason’s new role, he will share the joys of the island’s attractions, and bring them to life in his own unique way. We imagining he’ll bring his star power and sustainable passion.
In the latest teaser trailer, he is seen at attractions including Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Yas Marina Circuit. He narrates: “There comes a time when you discover your calling, when you realise your destiny, and you know your whole life has led to this one ridiculously awesome job. I’m gonna love this job.”
Jason Momoa hails from Honolulu, Hawaii. He is best known for Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe and Game of Thrones. Plus, he has starred in the drama shows Baywatch: Hawaii, Frontier and See. Over his career, he has been nominated for MTV Movie and TV Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was Yas Island’s first Chief Island Officer. He bought his signature swagger to the role, and created comical videos across the island.
