The video provides a glimpse of what you can expect when you ride the rails.

Let’s be honest. Everyone’s waiting for Etihad Rail to begin passenger operations soon, so travel between the emirates — and beyond — can get more convenient. We already know that this train is going to redefine luxury travel but a sneak peek has finally revealed what the train looks like inside.

A video surfaced on social media platform X, offering a glimpse into the interiors of the Etihad Rail passenger train. Plush greyish beige-coloured seating lines the train’s interior with a table to enjoy your meals or snacks en route. And that’s not all, a viewing gallery within the carriages features seats that spin and recline, adding an extra touch of comfort and flexibility to your journey, while large windows allow travellers to soak in the sights of the UAE.

Etihad Rail

The Etihad Rail project is a massive undertaking that’s set to transform transportation in the UAE and beyond. The first stage of construction began in 2016, and the second stage began in 2020. The rail line will link Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but the whole network will stretch 1,200 kilometres from Fujairah to Ghuweifat on the border of Saudi Arabia. Once the passenger train service is fully operational, it will connect 11 cities and regions across the UAE, offering a convenient and efficient mode of travel for residents and visitors alike.

While we can’t jump abroad Etihad Rail just yet, the megaproject has seen 28,000 experts and workers, 120 million cubic metres of excavation works and 133 million manhours deployed.
