Opening in DIFC, the restaurant meets club is inspired by the ancient city of Babylon.

Are you a fan of hedonism? Well, then get ready for some serious fun at Babylon, a new restaurant meets club opening in upmarket DIFC. Scheduled to open in December, Babylon promises to be an elegant yet entertaining new spot.

Babylon is inspired by the legendary Mesopotamian city, which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and famous for its love of pleasure. So be prepared to indulge, as there are avant-garde cocktails, a fine dining experience and live entertainment.

Guests can enjoy a sharing menu, which covers hot and cold amuse-bouches, a sushi selection and a raw bar. Plus, dishes include scallop, lobster and tuna carpaccios; caviar, tuna and beer tartars; a roasted lamb salad; and miso butter striploin.

Babylon in Dubai’s interiors have been designed by Lázaro Rosa-Violán. The immersive chiaroscuro atmosphere includes beautiful ornaments, luxury materials, and a rich colour palette with burgundy and floral patterns.

Babylon in Dubai is located in the same spot once occupied by the Argentinian restaurant Gaucho. The venue is positioning itself as an upmarket dining destination, as it will be close to some of the city’s much-loved fine dining restaurants including Amazónico Dubai, Shanghai Me and Zuma Dubai.

Addmind Hospitality is behind the opening of Babylon in Dubai. If their track record is anything to go, then this looks set to be a standout venue. The brand is responsible for restaurants including the Japanese restaurant CLAP, Latin-American Sucre, Lebanese lounge Iris Dubai, open-air super club White Dubai, and French restaurant Bar du Port.
