The new bar in Dusit Thani Dubai caters to mindful drinks.
We’ve all been there: you’re having a dry day for one reason or another, but all you’re left with are sugary mocktails, juice or water. That is definitely not the case at Dubai’s first non-alcoholic bar, NoLo. Located on the 24th floor of the Dusit Thani Dubai, the new venue caters to mindful drinkers and serves exciting non-alcoholic drinks.
Dusit Thani Dubai became a dry hotel at the start of the year, and as part of that journey it has opened NoLo. The name NoLo is an amalgamation of “no adult beverages” and “low worries”, but still has all the fun of a bar.
NoLo’s drinks menu includes classic mocktails, grape and hops, all of which are non-alcoholic. The drinks aim to mimic the mouthfeel and flavours of alcoholic drinks. The mocktails include a virgin Mary, mai tai and thaijito (their take on a mojito).
The drinks list also has some fun takes on cocktails: spice date espresso martini includes Lyre’s London dry, cold espresso and spice date syrup; lavender bees’ knees royale includes Lyre’s London dry, lemon juice and lavender honey; and the strawberry daiquiri includes Lyre’s London dry, strawberry puree, white chocolate syrup and lemon juice.
Drinks can be accompanied with an extensive range of vegan and meat dishes. The food menu includes international bites: tandoori chicken bao, avocado and tuna topped nigiri, Wagyu beef sliders and beef pepperoni pizzas.
NoLo in Dubai feels just as fun as your standard bar, as it boasts a modern, brightly coloured interior. Think funky patterned furniture and chandeliers decorated with foliage, which help give the 240 square meter space cool character.
Plus, proving that you don’t need booze to stay out late, the bar is open daily from 5pm to 1am. Cheers to that.
