The first Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel is set to launch. Taking place during the Holy Month, the event brings together family-friendly fun. Running from 13 March to 4 April, visitors can expect artists, chefs, designers and more.
Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel brings a diverse programme of film screenings, restaurants, shopping and workshops. The event celebrates community, culture and wellbeing, and aims to cater to all ages.
Hayy Markets showcases local tradition and heritage. The shops sell artisanal crafts and custom designs, which support Jeddah’s creative community. The food stalls include food and drinks, and span local vendors to the newly opened Sofia’s Bistro in Saha.
Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel hosts a range of interactive workshops, games, talks, performances, sound healing, poetry and storytelling sessions. Look out for film screenings, which share stories from the region. Plus, there are dedicated activities and areas for children.
The event brings together 30 participants including Akwan, Azka Foods, Ganache, Hakawi, Health In A Jar, Hind Rawas, Honest, JED Board Games, Karama Yoga, Karim Jabbari, King Abdulaziz University, Marinus, Nafisa Shams, One Funky Thing, Qanaateer, Radish House, Samar Allarakia, S Design, and Zahra Breast Cancer Association.
Hay Jameel is also hosting the Jasmine Box Ramadan Pop-Up. Running from 7 March to 7 April in Homegrown Villa, it includes accessories, home wear and thobes. During Ramadan, the pop-up is open from 2pm to 5pm, and 10pm to 2am.
Art Jameel manage Hayy Jameel, which is a dedicated arts complex and creative hub. In 2018, Jameel Arts Centre opened in Dubai. In 2021, Hayy Jameel opened in Jeddah in line with Saudi Vision 2030. In Arabic, the word hay refers to neighbourhood, and highlights how this is a cultural community.
Ramadan Nights at Hayy Jameel is free, but visitors must book in advance.
