The event invites foodies to indulge in culinary delights from all over the world.
Dubai’s culinary landscape continues to captivate its residents. From upscale fine dining establishments to flavorful street food, the city offers an array of gastronomic experiences. And now, it’s welcoming back the Ramadan Street Food Festival. Taking place from 22 March to 7 April at Sheikh Hamdan Colony in Karama, food enthusiasts are invited to indulge in a culinary extravaganza.
The year marks the second year of the Ramadan Street Food Festival, which is part of the #RamadanInDubai campaign. Over 55 restaurants will offer a tempting selection of dishes, ranging from savoury kebabs to indulgent sweet treats, which will be available from iftar until the early hours. Whether you’re craving traditional Emirati cuisine or international delights, there’s something to satisfy every palate.
In addition to the food offerings, visitors can expect a feast for the senses with Ramadan lights adorning the streets and live entertainment. From traditional music performances to captivating street art, the Ramadan Street Food Festival ambience is sure to evoke the spirit of the season.
“Ramadan is a time of togetherness and special moments with those closest to us,” said Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment — the organisation that is backing the festival. “With a rich program of unique experiences, moments of tradition and nostalgic activations, #RamadaninDubai offers people of every age and nationality endless ways to embrace new experiences.”
The Ramadan Street Food Festival is just the beginning of Dubai’s culinary extravaganza, with the Dubai Food Festival set to follow shortly after, kicking off on 19 April. This month-long celebration of food promises to showcase the city’s celebrated dining scene, with a plethora of culinary events and experiences to look forward to.
Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply looking to immerse yourself in the traditions of the Holy Month, this food festival is an event not to be missed. Entry is free.
