Two chefs unite to create a special dining menu in Dubai.

21grams in Dubai is loved for its quality dishes and drinks, and has a loyal fan base amongst locals and critics – it is a FACT Dining Award winner, after all. So, we were excited to see that it has announced a collaboration with the UAE-based Emirati chef and co-founder of Fa’e Café, Khaled Alsaadi.

21grams specialises in soul food from the Balkan Peninsula, as it serves dishes ranging from pljeskavica to breaded chicken schnitzel. For one night only, it will be mixing things up with its dining collaboration. Taking place at 21grams on 12 October from 7.30pm, the event promises to be a special evening.

For the 21grams collaboration, diners can start off by sampling the Dibba Bay Oyster Cart, which comes with condiments from the chefs. Guest chef Khaled will make king fish and hamour ceviche. 21grams’ head chef, Milan Jurkovic, will make phyllo pie, cold smoked sea bream and salt baked salmon. For dessert, Khaled is creating a black lime and white chocolate cheesecake, and Milan is creating a raspberry milk cake.

21grams Urban Balkan Bistro is located on the second floor of Meyan Mall in Umm Suqeim and prides itself on being a relaxed, all-day dining venue. The café is filled with handmade dishes and pastries, which have been created with ingredients sourced from local farmers.

Khaled is behind Fa’e Café in Abu Dhabi, which opened in 2020. Inspired by the UAE’s Ghaf tree, which is a symbol for the Year of Tolerance, the restaurant is a supporter of all things local. The café includes breakfast favourites such as croissants, eggs, coffee and juices.

The 21grams collaboration costs AED 350 and tickets are available now.
