Abu Dhabi gets its own authentic noodle house – UDN

Noodle fans in Abu Dhabi, get your chopsticks ready. UDN has officially opened its doors, giving the capital city its first authentic udon house.

UDN serves up delicious Japanese speciality dishes that include freshly made udon, traditional Japanese ramen, and incredible melt-in-your-mouth Japanese milk cake.

A concept by brought to Abu Dhabi’s foodies by the great minds behind DRVN Coffee, UDN celebrates one of Japan’s most loved dishes that has been making noodle fans happy for centuries. 

Conceptualised with the aim to bring freshly made Japanese udon to the capital city, the restaurant will provide an authentic experience with a live kitchen at the centre stage, so customers will be able to watch the noodles being made by hand. 

Made in-house daily from scratch, the versatile udon noodles are the star of the show on UDN’s menu. They can be ordered in the Traditional Ramen, Curry Ramen and Chicken Katsu dishes, with more varieties set to be added to the menu over the coming months. 

The house-made traditional stocks are left simmering for hours to pack maximum flavour into each bowl, which can also be customised with additional toppings to suit every palate. 

Diners can enjoy other Japanese delights and bites such as gyoza, edamame, tempura shrimp, and mochi balls. Simply put, they serve comfort food at its best.

As the first udon house in Abu Dhabi, we are proud to be setting the standard for exceptional fresh, traditional food in the capital city and can’t wait to welcome our new community of diners.”

Located on Old Airport Road in Abu Dhabi, UDN is open daily for lunch and dinner service from 12pm until 11pm. To keep all its guests and staff safe, the venue has adopted a completely cashless payment practice.
