Authentic Spanish restaurant Quiero arrives in Barsha South
A new spot for tapas and paella to give you those Spanish holiday vibes.
While European travel is unlikely to be on the agenda for most of us this summer, a new restaurant in Barsha South has opened to satisfy your cravings for authentic Spanish Cuisine.
Quiero, which means “I want” in Spanish, is now open at Platinum One Tower in Barsha South. The colourful new restaurant, complete with casual outdoor seating, offers a slice of España in the heart of the residential Arjan neighbourhood.
The new and casual concept is the brainchild of Anisia Pienaar, who missed the authentic tastes from her childhood and not wanting the rest of the world to miss out. Pienaar decided to open her own restaurant and make her mother, Mary, the Head Chef.
The menu features all of the expected traditional favourites, including empanadas, tortilla, patatas bravas and Spanish meatballs. Diners can also expect cheeseboards, salads and the classic Spanish sandwiches known as bocadillo, stuffed with various ingredients. For lovers of Paella, the Spanish rice dish originally from the city of Valencia will also be available.
The aesthetic of the quaint restaurant encapsulates the feeling of being in Andalusia through a combination of homely design elements and images of Spanish locations projected upon large screens. The open kitchen is a hub of activity where diners can watch Mary prepare the authentic Spanish dishes.
Spanish restaurant Quiero is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner for both dine-in and takeaway and also features a special kids menu, where a main course, dessert and juice can be ordered for AED 40.
If you’re looking to indulge in a pastry and expertly made coffee or catch up with friends while sharing paella, Spanish restaurant Quiero could be just the place.
