The New York hotspot makes its UAE debut in December.

We love a celebrity chef at FACT. So, we were excited to hear that Chef Eyal Shani is making his UAE debut. The chef’s Miznon restaurant, which is already a success in New York, is opening a sister venue in Dubai. North Miznon Dubai is set to open at DoubleTree Hilton in JBR in December, and will serve Mediterranean cuisine with a Levantine touch.

Chef Eyal Shani was born in Jerusalem, and is self-taught. He opened his first restaurant Ocean in Jerusalem in 1989. Since then, he went onto create Miznon, which can now be found across the world in Paris, New York, Melbourne, Vienna, and, soon enough, Dubai.

North Miznon Dubai

North Miznon Dubai’s menu will showcase Mediterranean food with a Levantine twist, and bring Tel Aviv’s vibes to the heart of Dubai. The menu will have an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients, sharing plates, and is expected to change daily. If Miznon’s menu is anything to go by, we’re expecting fresh flavours, from grass-fed beef to wild vegetables.

As for the décor, so far we know that North Miznon Dubai will be an industrial-chic space with exposed pipes, shimmering mirrors and a lush terrace. Plus, it is expected to be home to a secret garden.

Magna Hospitality Group is behind the opening of North Miznon Dubai. As the group has launched exciting restaurant in Dubai, we’re expecting great things. The company’s portfolio includes nightlife hotspot 1-OAK, Chinese restaurant Tàn Chá, and the upcoming Japanese restaurant Sumosan.

Plus, North Miznon Dubai joins a recent wave of Israeli restaurants opening in the UAE. Following the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020, the first kosher restaurant to open in the UAE was Armani/Kaf at Armani Hotel Dubai in the Burj Khalifa.

Chef Eyal Shani, welcome to Dubai.
