A chic new Chinese restaurant has opened on Bluewaters Island
SHI Restaurant and lounge is now open.
Bluewaters Island has fast become one of the only dining destinations in Dubai to rival DIFC. With the likes of classy seafood restaurant Alici, Mexican hotspot Puerto 99, and adults-only playground Brass Monkey, Bluewaters is well and truly starting to boom. Now, we can add SHI to the list.
SHI, a chic and sophisticated restaurant specialising in innovative Chinese cuisine, is joining the world’s largest observation wheel and the opening of Madame Tussauds Dubai on the offshore island this month.
As the first restaurant on the island to plate up gourmet Chinese dishes, SHI is garnering plenty of attention for its sumptuous interiors, stunning waterfront views and picture-perfect cuisine, from Peking duck adorned with caviar to delectable dumplings and dim sum.
The restaurant, which officially opened its doors last week, offers an exciting menu that strives to be unequivocally authentic. Headed by Chef Li Yuan Hui (previously of Hakkasan Mumbai and Qatar), the menu includes renowned dishes such as signature rice stone pot recipes, Taiwanese smoked sanpei chicken, and a variety of dim sums and dumplings. The restaurant is also fully licensed and features a menu of Asian inspired cocktails.
SHI offers a sophisticated atmosphere and a one-of-a-kind culinary experience reminiscent of upscale venues in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Guests can enjoy a lavish sit-down dinner on the restaurant’s ground floor or indulge in a taste of Chinese fine-dining at the upstairs lounge, where a DJ provides the evening’s entertainment.
Things are hotting up this October on Bluewaters Island with the openings of Ain Dubai, Madam Tussauds Dubai, and now SHI.
