Message in a Bottle will pair tale-telling theatrics and illusions with cutting-edge graphic technology.
By now, Dinner Time Story dining experiences have amassed a global cult following — each offers diners the chance to indulge in a surreal world of magical storytelling that engages all the senses without ever leaving the dinner table. And its latest launch will take up residence at JA The Resort, setting sail on a boat named Sirene from 17 March.
Entitled Message in a Bottle, the dining experience has been described as sustainable and uniquely immersive. We’re told that it will use tale-telling theatrics, illusions, and cutting-edge 3D graphic technology over a two-hour, five-course dinner spectacle that will take place on Sirene every night. The boat will depart from JA Beach Hotel at JA The Resort. The show will begin as soon as guests step onto the boat, commencing with a 30-minute tour of JA Marina, where diners can marvel at the moonlit Arabian Sea. And once the craft is anchored, the story starts, introduced through graphics by a fairy and avatar from the future and transporting guests to a dystopian world where the environment has been destroyed and measures need to be taken to avoid further endangerment.
Each course will excite the senses through an illusionary feast of delectable, sustainably sourced ingredients. The seafood-focused menu takes diners on a journey inspired by the deep sea, arctic, beach, bottle, and coral reef. Keeping the magic tightly concealed, a sneak peek at the dishes revealed Citrus Scallops Mousse, Tiger Prawns, Pan Seared Seabass, and a dessert that calls on the creative talents of the diner. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives are available, as is an extensive, fully licensed beverage list.
Nadine Beshir, the CEO and Show Producer of Dinner Time Story, said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with JA The Resort on the launch of this beautiful concept that sheds light on the importance of sustainability. With this unique immersive dining experience, we hope to offer our guests a cutting-edge theatrical setting paired with delectable sustainably sourced delicacies.”
Kicking off nightly at 7pm, the two-hour Message in a Bottle is priced at AED 399 per person (for food only), with a complimentary post-dinner beverage at Vasco Da Gama. Children aged six and above are welcome, with dedicated kids’ menus available.
