If you’re dreaming about an Italian getaway, it maybe closer than you think. Cala Beach has created a Tuscan-inspired experience in the heart of Dubai. So, if burratas and bruschettas bring to life la dolce vita, here’s what you need to know.
Cala Beach is located at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and boasts Insta-worthy Burj Al Arab Jumeirah views. The chilled beachfront escape offers long lunches, super sundowners, and suppers under the stars. Plus, if you want to make a night of it, the venue welcomes DJs who will spin tunes ranging from European electronic beats to vintage disco.
Chef Andrea Brugnetti has drawn inspiration from his Italian hometown, which is a small village called Veroli that is close to home. He has created an experience, which combines fresh ingredients with generous hospitality. The menu covers antipasti, salads, pizzas and pastas.
Cala Beach in Dubai’s antipasti dishes include Bruschetta al Pomodoro, Burrata di Andria, Parmigiana di Melanzane, Calamari Fritti and Carpaccio di Manzo. The handmade pastas include Spaghetti Vongole, Rigatoni Puttanesca, Trenette Lobster and Risone Allo Zafferano. The pizzas include Margherita, Foccacina, Al Tartufo and Napoletana. Plus, the desserts include Affogato al Caffè, Profiteroles and Tiramisù served straight from the bowl.
Cala Beach in Dubai’s drinks menu includes classic cocktails, mocktails, spirits and wine. Highlights include a Capri Martini, Italian River, Negranita, Sober Coffee and Vincero Venice.
Cala Beach in Dubai is open for lunch from midday to 3.30pm, and dinner from 6.30pm to 10pm. Vespas are optional.
