Miya is expected to open its doors at the end of February.
Bluewaters Island has no shortage of dining options. Its iconic landmark aside, the lifestyle destination is home to the likes of FACT Award-winning Italian eatery Alici, Turkish favourite Mado, and Nikkei hotspot Clay. What it does lack, however, is a Greek restaurant – but that’s about to change later this month.
Alexander Orlov, a restaurateur and co-founder of Bulldozer Group, is set to launch a new restaurant by the name of Miya Dubai. Inspired by the always glamorous Mykonos, it promises to mirror the magic and beauty of the Cycladic island. Naturally, a selection of Mediterranean favourites will dominate the menu, each served with a contemporary twist. The restaurant has designed every dish to tell a timeless story of food, friends and togetherness as it draws inspiration from the Greek figure of Miya.
Miya Dubai aims to bring a touch of Mykonos to Dubai. As so many restaurants in the city have drawn inspiration from this one Greek island, it can be hard to stand out from the foodie crowd. What makes this new venture different is that it exudes plush rather than party vibes by the bucket load.
We’re told that her passion for blending, baking, marinating, and sharing her culinary wonders with loved ones will set the tone for what’s to come at Miya, so diners can expect Greek hospitality at its finest once it debuts in late-February. Watch this space.
