Ibiza’s famed Sublimotion is headed to Dubai.

The Spanish island of Ibiza may be synonymous with adult playgrounds, but did you know that it’s also the birthplace of a dining pop-up like no other? Entitled Sublimotion, the multi-sensory experience is the brainchild of Paco Roncero (chef and owner of two Michelin-starred Paco Roncero Restaurante in Madrid) and Eduardo Gonzales (co-founder and creative director of event management company Vega Factory).

Now, Sublimotion is gearing up to take up residence at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, showcasing to the luckiest of Dubai diners why it has been at the top of the world’s culinary rankings since its inception in 2014. For starters, it accommodates only 12 people at a time, ensuring utmost exclusivity. As for what makes it such a one-of-a-kind experience? The dining room is more stage than space – 360-degree screens with imagery are projected onto every surface as ten whimsical courses prepared with the finest ingredients are transformed with every scene and accented with incomparable performances. And you thought dinner theatre was special.

Priced at a wallet-busting AED 5,000 per seat, Sublimotion will run from 4 November 2021 to 4 February, with shows taking place daily at 6:30pm and 9pm. Alternatively, you can go the whole nine yards and book The Ultimate Sublimotion Experience that’s priced from AED 19,000 per night and includes everything from two spots at Sublimotion and welcome treats by Roncero himself to a suite stay, spa treatments for two and more at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai.
