Every three months, the chef, menu and décor change at the new pop-up kitchen.
At La Table Dubai, everyone has a seat at the table. The pop-up kitchen concept is opening in DIFC, Dubai, and promises to be a memorable dining experience. What makes it unique is that the restaurant welcomes a different chef every three months, each offering a different cuisine.
While this new addition to DIFC’s dining scene is a small, intimate restaurant, it has big ambitions. Rumour has it, there are some famous chefs lined up, each of whom will undertake the three-month stint. So, if you love to try something new, this is the restaurant for you. It’s not just the chef that will change, but also the décor, as it becomes a new space with a new menu.
So far, the restaurant has announced that its first chef is Hattem Matter, who is famous for his BBQ experience. Hattem has been making a name for himself as the UAE’s BBQ master. Hattem’s business has an unlikely origin story, as he started his business in his own backyard. The Mattar Farm began in his Al Barsha home. At the farm, you’d find goats, rabbits, vegetables and herbs. Hattem went on to collaborate with restaurants including BB Social Dining and LDC Kitchen. Plus, he became a culinary ambassador to the UAE Embassy in the United States – not bad for a homegrown business.
