The new restaurant will debut inside The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm next year.
Dubai is home to major food icons and is about to welcome one more. The legendary Italian restaurant Signor Sassi has announced that it is coming to Dubai. The restaurant will open in The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm in 2023, bringing Italian hospitality to the heart of the city.
Signor Sassi has welcomed royalty and celebrities from across the world. Now, it’s your chance to check out the famous restaurant, which we can expect to attract an A-list crowd.
Opening in London’s Knightsbridge in 1982, the restaurant prides itself on creating simple Italian food, as the menu includes pastas, meats and fish dishes. We are hoping that it brings some of its London dishes to Dubai, which include grilled lobster, fillet of beef tagliata, whole fresh crab salad, spaghetti alle vongole, and filetto al pepe verde.
In 2008, the restaurant expanded in the Middle East and opened a branch in Kuwait. Signor Sassi in Dubai will be its latest expansion in the region, and promises to be an exciting addition to the city’s culinary scene.
Dubai’s Sunset Hospitality Group and the Italian restaurant group San Carlo have partnered to create the new venture. Antonio Gonzalez, CEO of Sunset Hospitality Group, explains: “We are delighted to partner with San Carlo Restaurants, who share a passion for great food, style, and service. Signor Sassi has been an icon of the London culinary scene, renowned for its famous clientele, superb Italian menu, and signature dishes.”
Marcello Distefano, Managing Director, San Carlo Restaurants, adds: “We’re thrilled to be working with Sunset Hospitality Group – we’ve been looking for a partner in Dubai which shares our passion for delivering the best contemporary hospitality concepts for several years. SHG are leaders in their category, and we’re excited to be working together to create a truly exceptional dining experience for Dubai.”
When Signor Sassi opens in Dubai it will have some top-notch restaurant neighbours. The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm is already home to a range of exciting restaurants, which include the all-day dining venue, Cordelia; shisha spot, Dip Pool Bar; and The St. Regis Bar. Plus, the hotel recently expanded its offerings off-site with the new beach club, Kyma Beach Dubai.
Signor Sassi, we are excited.
