Blending the charm of the Middle East with exceptional refinement, Sand’s modern interior is inspired by the natural landscape, incorporating the textures, shapes, colours, and curvature of the desert dunes. Diners are greeted by a dune shaped entrance that leads into the 100-seat dining room.
Whitewashed walls with recessed nooks are illuminated and accentuated with hand-made terracotta tiles to complement the curves that arch and fall like dunes to fill the restaurant with a magical desert charm. The open kitchen anchors the restaurant and places guests in the heart of the action, while an open-air terrace with lush greenery is ideal for relaxing with friends and family.
Sand’s menu features a mixture of Middle Eastern favourites and innovative culinary creations. Expect mezze such as moutabal, pesto hummus, hot hummus with veal and pumpkin moutabal. Savour dishes from the pastry section such as traditional khachapuri adzharian and samosa with mutton, or opt for the barbeque selection with veal tenderloin kebab and chicken kebab with melted cheese, sea bass and hammour.
Sand also offers an extensive mocktail list inspired by local flavours that are artistically creative and intriguing. Sip on the Gold Swan made with apple, elderflower and edible gold, or the Sand Mocktail with a hint of chocolate, fruit and presented in a mysterious hue of violet.
