The summer menu at Khyber packs almost as much heat as the soaring Dubai temperatures

Sponsored: Prepare to be transported into the heart of ‘old Mumbai’ at the Dubai outpost of the world-famous Khyber Indian Restaurant.

Dukes The Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel on Dubai’s magnificent Palm Jumeirah, is a five-star property with plenty to talk about. From the quintessentially British stylings and hospitality to Khyber, the colourful Indian restaurant tucked away on the 15th floor.

Khyber takes things back to basics, focusing firmly on the spices traded along the ancient silk route. While the current trend for Indian food in the UAE has skewed towards molecular gastronomy. Khyber opts for a more restrained approach, taking the cuisine back to its traditional roots.

Inspired by a restaurant that first opened in Mumbai in 1958, Khyber at Dukes The Palm takes the same recipes that proved popular in India and transports them to Dubai. Paired with impressive views over the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina skyline.

Are you looking for that extra spice? Khyber has recently launched a new summer set menu, priced at a very reasonable AED 99 per person. Encouraging diners to embark on a memorable culinary journey through nostalgic dishes presented with a contemporary and inventive flare.

The meal includes one starter, one main course and one dessert from a selection including Murgh Tikka Abeer, Makai Ki Tikki and Samosa Chaat to start.

For the main course, you can opt for either a classic Chicken Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh Lamb, Palak Paneer, Kadai Vegetable or Dal Dhaba served with delicious Jeera Rice and piping hot Naan bread or Roti. It should be noted that Khyber isn’t afraid to shy away from spice levels and the robust and fiery Rogan Josh Lamb is the perfect example of authenticity.

The meal culminates with the sweetest of desserts with the choice of Gulab Jamun in thick syrup or Rabri, a condensed milk-based dish mixed with jaggery and nuts. The ideal way to finish off a hearty meal of Indian comfort food.

The summer set menu at Khyber provides diners with value for money. At AED 99 for the set menu, plus the option to upgrade to two hours of soft beverages for an additional AED 50, or house beverages for an additional AED 120. Khyber makes for a fantastic choice when dining on Palm Jumeirah.

Lose yourself amidst the palatial décor of gurgling water features and collonaded archways and enjoy soothing music as you take a trip to Northern India without leaving Dubai this summer.
