The new restaurant replaces Il Faro in Azure Residences.

Dubai has plenty of restaurants in iconic locations, from waterfront wonders to dining with a view. One of the most charming spots, however, has to be the lighthouse at Azure Residences. The venue is now welcoming a brand-new restaurant, Tagomago.

Azure Residences is located on Palm Jumeirah and boasts beautiful beachside views. Tagomago will take over the two-story space and includes a restaurant and bar. If the site looks familiar, that’s because it was once home to the much-loved Italian restaurant Il Faro, which was famous for its pizza and prosecco deals.

So far, we know that the Tagomago menu specialises in Spanish cuisine. We’re expecting chilled vibes, as it prides itself on bringing the bohemian energy of the Balearics to Dubai.

Recently, the restaurant has been teasing us on Instagram. In one post, it shared an image of the venue with the caption: “A restaurant, bar and beach hangout like no other in the region, capturing the essence and bohemian energy of the Balearics”.

In Spanish, Tagomago means wizard, so we’re expecting a magical experience. In true showbiz style, it is also the name of a private island near Ibiza. The island hit the headlines, as it can be rented for $148,000 a week and offers five-star luxury, from a private chef to a five-bedroom villa.

If you’re hoping for Il Faro levels of hospitality at Tagomago, you are in luck. RIKAS Hospitality Group is behind Tagomago, and it is the same group responsible for some of Dubai’s hospitality hits: Kyma Beach DubaiLa Cantine du FaubourgMimi KakushiNinive and Twiggy by La Cantine.

Tagomago’s beach is open from 10am to sunset, and the restaurant is open from noon to 1am.
