A slice of California cool arrives in the Eastern Province.

Jon & Vinny’s, the celebrated Los Angeles-based eatery known for its fresh, flavourful Italian-American cuisine, is set to expand its culinary magic across the Kingdom with an exclusive pop-up at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Al Khobar. Recognised as a FACT Dining Award winner for its innovative approach to dining, Jon & Vinny’s promises to deliver a memorable meal to diners in the Eastern Province.

Running for a limited time, the pop-up at Ithra will allow foodies to savour the brand’s signature dishes, which have gained a loyal following among Hollywood stars. From perfectly charred wood-fired pizzas to handcrafted pasta, the menu is a testament to Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo’s commitment to quality ingredients and bold flavours.

Jon & Vinny’s is a celebration of community and comfort. Known for its casual yet stylish vibe. The pop-up at Ithra will embrace this ethos, creating an inviting atmosphere that blends perfectly with the centre’s vision of fostering cultural and creative connections. Offering a place where friends and families can enjoy comforting dishes made with a modern twist.

If the Jon & Vinny’s menu in Riyadh is anything to go by, Al Khobar is in for a tasty treat. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a reasonable price point, the menu includes pizzas and pasta galore. The pizzas include a Breakfast Pizza 2.0 with potato, egg and red onion, La Woman with local burrata, tomato basil and olive oil, and The Rosy with tomato and olive oil crust. When it comes to pasta, the Rigatoni with six-hour beef bolognese and stunning Spaghetti Limone are firm FACT favourites in the capital.

This collaboration between Ithra and Jon & Vinny’s highlights the growing appetite for world-class dining experiences in the region. As Saudi Arabia continues to emerge as a global culinary destination, partnerships like this reflect the country’s dedication to embracing diverse flavours and innovative dining concepts.

The casual spot is popular with celebrities in Los Angeles and has been a date night spot for A-list couples. Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, and Jay-Z and Beyoncé are just some of the names who have been spotted sharing slices of pizza.

The Kingdom’s MJS Holding is behind the opening. The hospitality group’s brands include AOK Kitchen, Il Baretto, Mr Chow, ROKA, Rüya and Zuma. The group also announced that it is bringing the restaurants BeauCoCo, Gina, Il Bambini Club, Liza, and Perruche de Pariso to Saudi Arabia. It will also open Arcade Food Hall, which is already located in London’s Tottenham Court Road and Battersea.

Al Khobar is not the only location in Jon & Vinny’s Saudi Arabian expansion plan. The restaurant will open several new locations in Riyadh, including Solitaire Mall, and an opening in La Paz Plaza in Jeddah in early 2025.
