Saudi Arabia is filled with exciting hotel openings. Now, Al Khobar is welcoming a luxury hotel: The Ritz-Carlton Al Khobar. Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Development Fund and RC Beach Real Estate Fund are behind the project, which will be the first beach resort in the city.

The Ritz-Carlton Al Khobar will be located in the Eastern Province and near the Arabian Gulf coast. The hotel aims to contribute to tourism in the region, which has previously held Shariqiah Season, as part of Saudi Seasons. Spanning 99,917 square meters, the resort will include 130 rooms and suites, and 48 chalets. Plus, the resort will include fine dining and casual restaurants, a spa and conference facilities.

Sandeep Walia, chief operating officer, Middle East, Marriott International, explained: “We look forward to working with Retail Urban Development Company to introduce The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary luxury and service to the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. It was incredible to be at Cityscape Global in Riyadh to celebrate the signing of The Ritz-Carlton Al Khobar. The debut of the brand in Al Khobar aims to redefine luxury in the Eastern Province and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s growing reputation as a leading travel destination.
