The 42-key hotel will include villas and private residences.

Saudi Arabia is filled with exciting hotel developments, from Diriyah to the Red Sea. Now, AlUla will be welcoming Aman Hegra, which will be located near the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hegra.

Aman Resorts is partnering with the Saudi investment management company, KUN Investment Holding, and the subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, AlUla Development Company. Aman Hegra aims to introduce a blend of hospitality and residential features to AlUla.

The Aman resort will include 42 room and villa keys, and 30 branded private residences. Spanning eight million square metres, it will be in a prime location. The resort will be next to the tourist attraction, Hegra. The area dates back to the first century BCE, and shows signs of Nabataean civilisation.

Mohammed N. Hefni, CEO of KUN Investment Holding, said “We are delighted to announce the collaboration with AlUla Development Company on the Aman Hegra project. This groundbreaking development marks an important moment in Saudi Arabia’s tourism and hospitality landscape aligning with the Kingdom’s vision 2030.”

The Aman brand first started in 1988. The hotelier Adrian Zecha planned to build a holiday home in Phuket, and the idea transformed into a small boutique resort. Today, the company has its headquarters in Switzerland, and more than 34 hotels in 20 countries. The hotels can be found across the world in locations including Bodrum, Kyoto, Shanghai, Tokyo and Venice. The hotels are known for their remarkable service and high staff-to-guest ratio.
