The London-born brand makes its Saudi debut in Pure Centre.

London’s calling. The British-born brand, Chestnut Bakery, has made its Saudi debut. Now, you can taste its famously freshly baked goods, which include buns, bagels and baguettes, in the heart of the capital. So, if you love a coffee and a croissant, here’s what you need to know about Chestnut Bakery Riyadh.

Chestnut Bakery Riyadh is located in Pure Center on Al Mohammadiyyah Street. Visitors will smell (before they see) the freshly baked bread. The bakers pride themselves on their bread-making skills, and have a reputation for making bread from around the world. We’re talking ka’ak, simit and sourdough.

The menu includes sweet and savoury baked goods. There are croissants, cookies and cakes, which come in a variety of flavours. Plus, sandwiches and flatbreads, which have a range of fillings.

Chestnut Bakery Riyadh boasts a clean, cosy and on-trend Coastal Grandmother aesthetic, which looks like it could be straight out of a Nora Ephron movie. The café includes lots of light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and tall mirrors. Plus, there is indoor and outdoor seating.

Settle into one of the wooden chairs and tables, under the low-hanging lamps. We’d recommend sitting near the open kitchen with a wood fire oven as the centrepiece and watching the chefs at work.

If you’re struggling to make a decision on dishes – we don’t blame you – head to the cute counter with plenty of pastries. Plus, look out for the bags of grain, jars of condiments and rolling pins, which are decoratively placed underneath.

Chestnut Bakery can also be found in London’s Belgravia and Covent Garden, and also Kuwait. Beautiful breads await.
