Groove on the Grass is back and this time it’s in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The festival is famous for combining music with art, and for bringing together local as well as international dance acts to the Middle East. With the next festival scheduled to take place from 30 September to 1 October, here’s what you can expect from Groove on the Grass in Jeddah.
Groove on the Grass is taking place in Jeddah’s Juman Park in King Abdullah Economic City. The stellar line-up includes four international artists and six local artists. The acts performing include Birds of Mind, Cosmicat, Deian, Dish Dash, Loush, Maga, Patrice Bäumel, S-Dons, Voidkid, and Yulia Niko.
While there are plenty of spectacular stars, the festival is not just about music. The festival site includes street food trucks, market stalls and art, which makes it a cool spot to spend the weekend.
The first Saudi Groove took place in May 2022, and was also held in Juman Park. The festival welcomed 450 SAR, Birds of Mind, Dish Dash, Dorar, Varoo and Vinyl Mode, and was a successful event.
Groove on the Grass has been running for more than nine years, and started life in Dubai, UAE. In February 2022, the festival returned to the UAE with a twist, as it was held at Dunes Resort in Ras Al Khaimah. The festival has been influential to the Middle East’s music scene, and it has introduced more than 180 artists to the region. Plus, it has been key in the development of dance music in the region.
Groove on the Grass in Jeddah tickets are now on sale. If you’re planning on attending, you must be aged 18 years old or above, and food and drink from outside is not permitted. Tickets start from SAR 360 for a single day, and SAR 740 for a two-day pass. Plus, if you have attended the previous Groove on the Grass events, you will be entitled to a discount.
