Red Sea International Film Festival has unveiled its line-up – and it looks set to be spectacular. The stars include Andrew Garfield, Kareena Kapoor, Michael Mann and Spike Lee. Running from 5 to 14 December, the event takes place at Al Balad, Jeddah. 

Now in its fourth edition, the Red Sea International Film Festival brings together local as well as international filmmakers. Visitors will have the chance to join exclusive screenings, panel talks, workshops, and network with leading industry figures.

The line-up includes the American stars Eva Longoria (Only Murders in the Building) and Viola DaRedvis, and Turkish stars Engin Altan Düzyatan and Nurgül Yeşilçay. The filmmakers include Mohamed Samy, Michael Mann and Spike Lee. Bollywood stars include Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Plus, in the festival’s Souk Talents programme, British star Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, tick, tick… BOOM!) will be delivering a talk.

Jomana Al Rashid, Chairwoman of the Red Sea Film Foundation, explained: “This year’s In Conversation With and Souk Talent programs proudly showcase an extraordinary line-up of globally acclaimed speakers. These luminaries, whose exceptional careers span both sides of the camera, have profoundly inspired generations of audiences, storytellers, and cinephiles.

“It is an honour to provide a platform at our New Home of Film in Al Balad, where they can delve into their artistic journeys, share insights on their most cherished projects, and reveal the inspirations that have shaped their craft. We eagerly anticipate the expertise and stories this remarkable group will bring to the festival this December.”

Cinema icon Aamir Khan (Dangal) and Academy Award nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer) will take centre stage on the opening night of the festival, joining Mona Zaki (Flight 404, Abserb: The Squadron) in celebration of their remarkable careers and lasting contributions to the film industry. Additionally, Red Sea Honoree Viola Davis (The Woman King, Fences) will be recognised during the prestigious Awards Ceremony on 12 December.

Emily Blunt said: “I’m incredibly excited to be coming to the Red Sea Film Festival and grateful to be one of this year’s honorees. I love all that this festival is doing for innovative and emerging talent in the film industry. In particular, I’m enthused by how they are empowering women in cinema and amplifying their voices.”

Both Aamir Khan and Emily Blunt will also participate in the Festival’s acclaimed In Conversation With series, sharing insights, experiences, and stories with audiences.
