Located in Ana Ghair Mall, the menu includes modern dishes.

Jeddah is mixing things up. Oryze has opened in Ana Ghair Mall in At Rawdah District. The Asian fusion restaurant is a sleek stylish spot, and offers a modern take on traditional dishes. So, if you want to try something new, here’s what you need to know.

Oryze in Jeddah is easy to spot. The exterior includes the logo in big, bold terracotta colour and floor-to-ceiling windows that let you see the action. The contemporary cool interior is dark and dimly lit with grey walls and curved ceilings. Diners can choose from black chairs and tables, which are punctuated by brown seats around tall trees.

Oryze means rice in Latin, and is a fitting name for the Asian-inspired restaurant, as it has plenty of rice dishes. The menu spans soups, starters, bowls, dumplings, bites, mains and desserts. Great for groups, there are superb sharing dishes, many of which come in eye-catching colours and are served on black plates.

The starters include Black Bao with Chicken, Beef Bibimbap, Kale and Mango Salad, Oryze Garden Salad, Oryze Fries and Vietnamese Rolls. The mains range from the Green Curry Chicken to Wasabi Shrimp. Plus, there are decadent desserts topped with chilli, cream and fruits, and a range of mocktails on the menu.

Ana Ghair Mall is also home to shops, restaurants and cafés. Located on Prince Sultan Road, it is open daily from 10am to 1pm, and 5pm to 11pm. Oryze in Jeddah is open daily from 5pm to 1pm.
