From Paris to the Red Sea: Cafe Laperouse anchors in Jeddah
This new opening marks the restaurant’s first foray into the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia is upping its dining game, and global culinary gems are now a regular sight. With spots like Carbone, Gymkhana and Hakkasan already making waves in the Kingdom, Cafe Laperouse is the latest addition that’s about to open in Jeddah.
Nestled in Cascade at Jeddah Walk, Cafe Laperouse is an all-day dining restaurant serving fine French cuisine. It’s a tribute to the art of entertaining and takes its name from the spirit of adventure.
As soon as you step in, you’re greeted by an abundance of natural light streaming through the windows. The white and blue walls set a sophisticated tone, while the coral peach seating and minimal wood and white metal furnishings make for a charming addition. As the evening unfolds, the ambience shifts to something more intimate. Dimly lit surroundings, elegant decor, massive chandeliers, and live entertainment create an atmosphere that’s fit for royalty.
As for the menu, Cafe Laperouse in London, Paris and Port de Saint-Tropez offers a delightful selection of breakfast options including croissants, pain au chocolat, and Le Croque. For lunch or dinner, indulge in dishes like Grison Meat Chiffonade, Salmon Roe, and La Cote de Bœuf. And for those with a sweet tooth, the classic Vanilla Creme Brûlée and signature Religieuse au Chocolat are must-tries.
Originally established in the 1700s, Cafe Laperouse was frequented by literary, cultural, and theatrical icons such as Emile Zola, Guy de Maupassant, Charles Baudelaire, Marcel Proust and Victor Hugo. The cafe originates from France and has recently expanded to Raffles The OWO in London. The Jeddah opening marks its first foray into the Middle East.
