A sneek peak inside Sindalah Island ahead of its opening

The NEOM destination set the scene for sophisticated luxury.

Saudi Arabia has been making headlines, and for good reason. This time, the buzz is around NEOM’s Sindalah Island, which is opening this weekend. Promising to be a haven of luxury, Sindalah is poised to become a benchmark in infrastructure and development.

Gone are the days when people thought Saudi Arabia was merely a desert because Sindalah Island is getting ready to flaunt the Kingdom as a premier global yachting destination. Think about a place where the desert meets the ocean, bringing together a combination of sandy dunes, pristine waters, and endless luxury.

Sindalah Island

Sindalah Island spans 84,000 square metres, and its design beautifully mirrors the sandy dunes that characterise Saudi Arabia’s vast landscape. The first images from the site show that the architecture was heavily inspired by the surroundings but given a modern twist. With yachts docked up front, it might as well look like a fictional city, but it is very much real.

While Sindalah opens to guests this weekend, development is still underway. The island will boast luxury resorts such as Four Seasons Sindalah, Marriott Autograph Collection Sindalah and The Luxury Collection Sindalah to open soon. They total up to over 800 units — including rooms, villas and serviced apartments — making sure to accommodate the influx of guests.

Like hotels, restaurants too are going to be one of the main attractions at Sindalah Island. Italian master chef Enrico Bartolini will bring his talent to the Sindalah Yacht Club, whereas OMEN by Beefbar will present premium cuts with an upscale twist. More dining concepts are expected to open soon.

Apart from hotels, restaurants and the Sindalah Yacht Club, Sindalah Island will also be home to MDLBeast Sindalah Beach Club. Expect to relax on loungers with pool and beach access. This spot is poised to become an entertainment hub as well, promising raves under the stars and in front of the sea. For sports lovers, Sindalah Golf Club will house a nine-hole golf course, including a beachfront, making it a top choice for golfers.

So get ready to set sail to Sindalah Island and prepare to be mesmerised.
