The luxury terminal will deliver your luggage straight to your resort.

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea megaproject is one of the most exciting developments in the Kingdom. The area will be home to regenerative tourism projects, five-star hotels and lush landscapes. If you’re dreaming about visiting, you won’t have to wait long, as Red Sea International Airport is almost at full completion.

The Red Sea International Airport has been serving domestic travellers flying in from Riyadh and Jeddah. And now, with 90 per cent of the Red Sea International Airport completed, international travellers can book direct flights to this majestic destination.

Red Sea International Airport

The airport is being designed by the British architectural firm, Foster + Partners. The structure has been inspired by the desert, oasis and sea, and will feel like a private, personalised terminal.

Once completed, the airport will include a planted garden, a resort-like atmosphere and roof shells that provide shade. The airport will also be home to five departure suites, which are arranged as a series of pods.

Red Sea International Airport aims to provide a smooth travel experience. So, there’ll be no having to wait by the baggage claim area, as luggage will be delivered straight to your hotel room. Plus, the airport will be powered by renewable energy.

If you’re wondering where to stay, Six Senses Southern Dunes, Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve and The St. Regis Red Sea Resort are accepting bookings. More properties are set to open soon.

The Red Sea Project is expected to cover 28,000 kilometres of islands, beaches, deserts, mountains and even volcanos and be a leading destination for eco-luxury. The plan is to have no waste-to-landfill or single-use plastic, and be 100 per cent carbon neutral.
