The project will develop in phases, with full completion by 2027.
Saudi Arabia is transforming its landscape to offer more than meets the eye. While bigger cities like Al Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh are evolving rapidly, the Kingdom is also focusing on its smaller, less explored areas. Now, a new waterfront destination is making its way to Yanbu, proving that beauty exists in every corner of the region.
Promising to redefine tourism in this historic city, the upcoming waterfront destination in Yanbu will feature three areas for leisure. A Beach Escape will offer a perfect getaway to soak up the sun or lounge by the sea, while the Tourist Activation Center, designed to provide rich and engaging experiences, will feature cultural and recreational activities. A Lifestyle Hotel will offer guests the option to stay and explore the charm of Yanbu. A fourth zone is also in the works — details of which will be revealed at a later date.
Yanbu’s waterfront will be developed in three phases, with full completion by 2027. Upon completion, the city of Yanbu hopes to become a tourist hotspot for visitors from near and far.
The project is backed by the Baheej Tourism Development Company and the Public Investment Fund (PIF). Their joint efforts will highlight Saudi Arabia’s rich culture and history. Through this project, visitors will have the opportunity to explore Yanbu — a hidden gem of Saudi Arabia — with history dating back to the 16th century.
Home to the annual Yanbu Flower Festival, the city of Yanbu will also welcome a $293 million entertainment centre and the third Cloud7 property in the Kingdom.
The launch of this waterfront project in Yanbu also aligns with Saudi Vision 2030. It will enhance economic growth in the region while also transforming this small town into a lively destination that brings together history, culture, modernity and sustainability.
