The festival takes place in Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh.
Ramadan Season is returning to Saudi Arabia. The second edition is scheduled to launch at the start of Holy Month and brings together culture, crafts and cuisine. The event takes place at Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh.
Ramadan Season first launched in 2023. Now in its second year, this edition’s tagline is “The Light of Our Nights.” People across Saudi Arabia will be able to attend events in three cities. The festival celebrates the country’s culture, including the traditions that take place during the Holy Month of fasting.
At Ramadan Season, visitors can expect an arts district, children’s playground, light show, live cooking stations, souks and sports events. In each destination, the sites will be decked out in seasonal decorations.
Ramadan Season’s dining experiences include Al Thuraya Dining, which offers an iftar and suhoor. The family-friendly experience includes large tables, which are great for gatherings. Plus, the menu offers diverse Saudi Arabian cuisine.
Al Marqab translates to Moon Observation Tower and teaches visitors about observing the moon. Discover how modern astronomical instruments track the moon and mark the start and end of Ramadan. Between light and Shadow is an artistic exhibition, which is inspired by the Holy Month’s values of blessings, benevolence and unity. Manarah Arts and Crafts is a family-friendly educational experience, and teaches visitors about traditional artistic techniques in the country.
Saudi Arabia is famous for its seasonal festivals, which attract millions of visitors. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture’s Saudi Seasons festival initiative includes Riyadh Season, Sharqiyah Season and Jeddah Season. Riyadh Season launched in 2019 and is the biggest festival of its kind in the Middle East.
The official dates for Ramadan have not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to run from 11 March to 9 April. Check in with FACT for the latest things to do in Saudi Arabia.
