The historic match is part of the kingdom’s Rage on the Red Sea.
Saudi Arabia is constantly breaking ground with first-evers, from its first concerts to its first skate parks. This is happening once more, as the kingdom is hosting its first female boxing match: Ramla Ali vs. Crystal Nova.
The ground-breaking boxing match is part of Rage on the Red Sea, which sees the much-anticipated rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk take place. The female boxing match sees British Somali Ramla Ali take on Dominican Republic’s Crystal Nova in an eight-round Super-Bantamweight contest.
Rage on the Red Sea has boxing matches aplenty, as more fights have been announced: Croatian Heavyweight Filip Hrgovic will challenge China’s Zhilei Zhang; and British Callum Smith will challenge French Mathieu Bauderlique in a Final Eliminator for the World Title.
The matches continue with the former two-weight World Champion Swedish Gambian Badou Jack taking on American Richard Rivera in a 10-round Cruiserweight contest, and American Andrew Tabiti and Dutch Tyrone Spong battling it out in an eight-round Heavyweight contest.
The kingdom is no stranger to hosting international sports events, as it previously held the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Plus, King Abdullah Sports City Arena has hosted sporting events across football, WWE and boxing.
Rage on the Red Sea takes place on 20 August. Tickets are now available and start from SAR 375. Let’s get ready to rumble.
