AlUla is turning up the volume. The spectacular sight is welcoming the American rapper and producer Swizz Beatz. AlUla on Wheels takes place from 25 to 26 April and includes a DJ set from the performer.
Swizz Beatz hails from the Bronx, New York. He started DJing as a teenager and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. His aunt and uncle were involved in the Ruff Ryders record label, and he began to produce music. In 2002, he released his first compilation album, Swizz Beatz Presents G.H.ET.T.O. Stories. In 2007, he released his first album, One Man Band Man.
Over Swizz Beatz’s career, he has worked with some of the biggest artists in the music industry. He worked with Beyoncé on Check on It, Ring the Alarm and Upgrade U. Plus, on Busta Rhymes’ Touch It, Drake’s Fancy and Lil Wayne’s Uproar. He is married to Alicia Keys, and the pair have visited AlUla many times. Alicia has performed at Maraya, and worked on special initiatives for women in the Kingdom.
On 25 and 26 April, AlUla also hosts the Skating Exhibition. The free event includes local and international skaters and is a chance to feel comfortable on wheels. AlUla on Wheels is an open-air skating experience which boasts dramatic views of the desert landscape. The event hosts themed nights and local as well as international DJs. The area is transformed with old-school arcade games, and food and drink stalls.
